Math with Moomins

Snork has built an amazing time machine. Moomintroll, Snufkin and other Moomin Valley characters have travelled to various places using it. They have explored for example living in the Wild West with indians and cowboys. He is proudly presenting it to others.

Oh dear, what Stinky is going to do? Nooo, he blows the time machine up!! All pieces of the machine are catapulted around the Moomin valley.

Moomin Valley characters need your help to rebuild the time machine. You can help them by solving different mathematical problems in places where the parts where catapulted. When you have solved all the mathematical problems the time machine is rebuild again and Moomin Valley characters can explore new adventures, maybe next time in Space?

Math with Moomins is targeted to teach various mathematical skills to the kids while playing. All the exercises follow the Finnish National Board of Education (FNBE) core curricula for pre-primary and basic education resulting world leading OECD’s PISA –rankings year by year.

All exercises are defined based on the player age set in the game settings and the difficulty level grows once player progresses the game. Through these various type of games kids will learn in a funny and motivating ways adding, subtraction and multiplication specially designed for his or her own age. It is important to notice that your children can continue learning math by re-playing the levels again and still have all problems fresh and new. Additionally when your children’s skills improve, he or she can also move to the next age-level if interest to develop further exists. Every age level starts with repetition the problems learned in previous age level.

There are two versions of the Moomin Math game available, free trial version and paid full version. With the trial version you can try the game and get familiar for the gaming methods and math problems used by playing two levels of each game in every age group. Paid version includes all levels for all different games. In case you have more than one children for the target age group they can all play the game by changing the age settings.
