Ren Wei Chang, a famous Chinese painter, had drawn a series of block prints named "Thirty Three Knight-errant ". There are totally thirty three characters, and each of them has their own modeling and distinguishing feature.

[ 4th Knight-errant ]

Once upon a time, there was a pretty girl who is the head of a gangster. Her subordinates were all young men wearing splendid cloths. A scholar, who comes from Suzhou, came to the capital in order to seek for a way becoming an official. He can leap onto roofs and vault over walls. The pretty leader, intending to invite the scholar as her subordinate, found him wonderless after she saw him performed. She borrowed a horse from him, and use his horse to stole treasures from the palace. He was sent to the jail, and the girl pretended she was coming to save him. Thus, he became a criminal escapeed from prison illegally – which means he could never lodge information against the gangster to the government, and in the meantime, he was grateful to that crafty pretty leader.
