This iPad Application is a companion application to AFib CDA. It guides patients through the process of creating their own personalized treatment plan for the prevention of stroke due to non-valvular atrial fibrillation.Optimal decision making should be both informed and consistent with patient’s personal attitudes, values, and life circumstances. This interactive patient survey empowers patients to take ownership of their own health by providing them with the opportunity to:• Accurately and efficiently estimate their annual risk of stroke and bleeding; and• Weigh the potential risks and benefits associated with antithrombotic therapy.These results are then delivered back to the AFib CDA iPad Application to provide Clinical Decision Support to the attending physician. Taking into consideration the patient’s personal values and their risk of stroke and bleeding, the AFib CDA iPad Application will then recommend an optimal antithrombotic regime for the prevention of stroke due to atrial fibrillation.
