The ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Coding Handbook is the only guide published in collaboration with the Central Office on ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS of the American Hospital Association (the official industry body that prepares AHA Coding Clinic® for ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS).

• More than 50 four-color illustrations of anatomy and common disorders and procedures; plus

The ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Coding Handbook is designed to train coding students and advance the knowledge of working professionals. Building upon Faye Brown’s legacy as creator of the most widely used textbook in academic settings, this handbook is also an appropriate tool in the workplace for evaluating the skills of existing staff, prospective coding hires, and temporary agency personnel.

In addition to more than 200 chapter-based and final review exercises, the handbook contains a built-in workbook of case summary exercises (appendix C) designed for students who have learned the basic coding principles and need additional practice in applying those principles to actual cases.

The case summary exercises are based on the health records of inpatients and outpatients who often have multiple conditions that may or may not relate to the current episode of care. Some exercises include several episodes of care for a patient in various settings. The "With Answers" version of this digital edition provides the answers to the in-chapter, final review, and case summary exercises.

Each digital edition is fully searchable by code, topic, or index. Readers can bookmark, add notes to, and print individual pages as desired. However, readers wishing to complete the exercises of the "Without Answers" version of this digital edition must print the appropriate pages; blanks cannot be filled in electronically.
