A limited number of colors tends to provide some unity, although the actual colors can vary during the execution of an image. Serendipity is a huge feature of this app.If you wish to keep a copy of a completed image, just take a screen shot. However, you can set a switch which makes the app pause each time a new element is added to the canvas. Then you can take a screen shot during the various stages of image development.Another switch allows ARTiGEN to overlay the previous completed image over the initial background, building up an even more complex image.ARTiGEN starts by applying a background image. It then applies two images over the background (or in Complex mode, four images) and completes the image with an overlay.
