It’s a fast, accurate and unambiguous way of visually communicating with your child at any time but especially if their emotions have taken them over.By visually explaining a situation to your child it helps diffuse misunderstandings by avoiding miscomprehension and removing emotion from the mix.You can use the app to suggest an activity or give them the opportunity to suggestion one to you. You can use it for outlining where they are going this morning or what's about to happen next so they can anticipate the activities of the day.It shines when used to help your child complete a task by breaking it down into smaller achievable steps AND on top of it all ASD TOOLS helps you reward them when they have done a good job. The app gives you the freedom to express your own tastes and lifestyle through customising the image library. This magnifies the apps potential and in turn will benefit you and your child greatly because it will then truly reflect your child’s life and lifestyle.Graphics in the image library can easily be swapped with your own photos. Any item can be deleted or renamed, you may prefer to change toilet to bathroom for example. Four categories makes grouping similar images together easy PLUS the search function will help you quickly locate that specific image faster. It was then that I decided there had to be a better solution.After a relentless search for that “ideal app” I was shattered to discover there wasn't one. So with you, and myself in mind, I took up the challenge to create one.I knew it had to be fast and easy enough to use while your child is having a hissy-fit in the middle of the shopping centre (or is that just mine). I understood that parents needed to communicate new concepts quickly, accurately and without fuss.I knew it had to be fast and easy enough to use while your child is having a meltdown in the grocery store because they’re out of stock of Smarties and for allow the parent to quickly take photos of other items in stock and present their child with an alternative option to chose from and that's what this app does.It's been successfully used and tested with children from toddler age upwards and it’s also simple enough for young children to use themselves.I hope you like ASD TOOLS and find it useful!
