Adjustable Field Notes is an application that supports note taking for research activities on the iPad. It provides an environment, in which the user may define an arbitrary number of keyword sets, each subdivided into categories that may be assigned a specific color. These keyword sets may be imported and exported from or to further iPads with an installation of Adjustable Field Notes. A keyword set is used to create entries during the recording of a specific event that is being observed, e.g. note-taking during the observation of an operation (work psychology). Each entry is time-stamped and can be assigned a further comment. The entries of a recording can be exported into a CSV format, holding one entry per line, where an entry includes a time-stamp, the keywords sepparated by commas and the comment.
