The premise of the game is simple and straightforward: the playable character is Alan. He must now pursue the thief in order to get back the valuable items that the thief stole from him. Catch the Thief, in many ways, has more in common with the classic games of the 1980s and 1990s than the high-tech games of today, but it is nonetheless a modern game with a modern gaming audience.
