This is a compilation of the best, funniest, and most popular cat videos on the internet. My intention is to update the app at least once per month with new lists (but they may very well contain old videos because they're so popular). If there's a video you like but don't see it on the top twenty-five, email me and I'll consider including it.

To be fair to those who have downloaded the app, though, the minimum number views I require for each of my videos is 100,000, and most are over a million views and must be at least two minutes long. Now some of your videos may be funny, dumb, scary, zany, or just plain cute (videos of kittens always get a special look from me), but they need to have the minimum view count (the higher the better). It's only fair. And I should note that I am not at all partial to any one video or channel. A great cat video is as good as the next great cat video.

Here's a little background on why I created this app.

If you've been living in a cool cave in Waziristan or under a rock somewhere in the South Pacific, then you probably are unaware of the proliferation of anything cat on the internet. Studies and internet traffic experts are saying at least - at the very least - 17% of all web traffic is cat-related: videos, pictures, blogs, jokes, etc. Seventeen percent. Think about that figure for a moment. Almost 1 in 5 are doing something on the interwebs related to the feline species. That is an incredible percentage of people looking at cats. Let's face it, who doesn't like a good cat and kitten video? Very very few.

It's interesting to see some of the kitten and cat videos on the internet go viral. Search engine optimization specialists are always looking to discover what goes viral and what cause people to like them so much (the holy grail of internet marketing I guess). It's still a great mystery why some catch on and others just flounder, hoping and praying to be found by even a few dozen people. It seems, though, that kitten and cat-related videos (as well as baby and toddler videos) seem to have an edge over most music videos. Of course there are the exceptions like "Gangnam Style," "Friday," and "What Does the Fox Say," but those are clearly the exceptions (and what funny exceptions they've turned out to be). Cats and kittens, though, are not predictable, and they make for great viewing. Of course, there's the cute factor that gets thrown into all of those videos, but there are thousands of cute feline videos that just never go viral. Then again, you cannot discount that there are people who are "helping" those videos go viral but that's a different topic for a different day.

So, in the mix there are funny cat videos, cute cat videos, sad cat videos (very few of those), guilty cats, hilarious kitten videos, epic cat fails, zany cat videos, and pretty much anything in between. I'm sure some of the videos will have cats doing tricks, acting frightened, being confused, and even becoming angry. As mentioned above, make sure you let me know if you have a favorite video that should be included in my next app build. I will consider it if it meets the 100,000 view threshold.

So I put together this app so I could bring all of the best cat videos to one app. Twenty-five videos is a lot of viewing time (especially since there is a 10 hour and a couple of one hour videos in the mix. And as long as I keep up my end of the bargain by updating monthly, you'll have cute, funny, and outrageous videos to watch for years to come.
