Use AnyTrail to track your favorite trails and share them with everyone. This is a completely free application. There are no ads or in app purchases.

When opening AnyTrail for the first time you will be taken to your saved trails. You can create a new saved trail by following the on screen instructions. You can share trails that have been saved or view other users saved trails that they have shared.

Use the menu in the top right to navigate the application. You can also use the sliding navigation drawer.

Since this is a new application there will not be many shared trails in the beginning. I have shared a few trail markers for Colorado. These trails are not tracked. Only the entrance is marked on the map and only for the state of Colorado. You can share any of your shared trails for any state. I have only added a few in Colorado for demo purposes.

Some sections of AnyTrail require an internet connection such as current weather. The initial loading of the map will also require an internet connection. Once the map is loaded internet can be disabled. This application will draw the track without an internet connection. And with the phone screen locked.

All tacking can be done from the Track View tab after you create the trail. You can add points of interest (POI) along the trail. When you are done tracking your trail select the stop icon (white square). This will stop tracking and clear the track. Then press the Eye icon to view the saved track. Tap the Elevation, speed, and distance circles to see a graphical representation of each. Images will be added to the image page as you take them from the POI section. When you are done tracking your trail, close the trail and reopen it to see the images and tracking data updated.

Please make sure your location services is enabled. AnyTrail uses GPS satellites to track locations on the trail.

KML files are not currently supported. I will work on implementing KML file support in the near future. I will also work on offline map tiles so that way the map can be pre-loaded without needing any internet connection.

Privacy Policy: No personal data is tracked or stored. Users can share their trails which will show anonymous locations and POIs throughout the trail.
