AriannA has been designed to be an answer to the cry of anyone who lost his Android smartphone.

Just make sure to have AriannA installed and configured, and you will always be a text message away from your smartphone, all over the world!

To install AriannA download the app from google play.

After the installation, it will be immediately possible to properly configure AriannA clicking on red buttons and allow actions who can be included in so called "control-texts" (text messages specifically designed for AriannA's own usage) and to which AriannA activates herself and does the action specified in a received control-text:

you will find since first AriannA load, the list of all actions already set and ready to be enabled in according with your will.

To enable an existing pre-set action simply keep pressing the desired one and enable it. It will be possible to perform a quick test simply sending from another phone a text message containting the control-text (be careful with the action 'wipe', it will erase your phone data).

The actions included in AriannA are:

+LOCATE: it returns a text message with coordinates of the phone position and a link to a map that AriannA offers in her website. If administration rights are granted and the phone doesn't have any phone block password, then AriannA will set a block with the action PIN and prevent the abuse of your phone. AriannA's location data precision depends on many factors and can come from: GPS (up to 1 meter in radius), network with triangulation techniques between wifi SSIDs and cell-tower (up to 35 meters), network with tower geo-coding on the fly (up to 1500 meters) and finally just cell tower data (maybe it is time to start thinking about another phone...). The cell data are good, but the map could be the result of further approximations of a free geo-coding web service (it doesn't have all phone towers registered to perform geo-coding properly), so the quality is not reliably predictable.

+RING: it is useful when the phone is lost but close, it will force the phone to ring (any subsequent call will also make the phone ring).

+WIPE: it will permanently erase ALL the data (even in the SD card from Android 2.3). Requires administration rights

****QUICK TEST with action 'locate'

After having enabled the 'locate' action with default PIN (00000) and activationActionName ('locate') you can send from another phone the following:

arianna locate 00000

We recommend to change the default PIN or/and the activationActionName after the test.
