Beredskabsforbundet - The Danish Civil Protection Association - is a non-profit

organization working for the safety of the civil population. The league advances

from the willingness of Danish citizens to volunteer for the rescue preparedness in

Denmark.

The Beredskabsforbundet Reporter allows selected volunteers to record and

upload incidents where volunteers are active for the benefit of the community. This

includes, but is not limited to, reports from live pull-outs, exercises, exhibitions,

training sessions and meetings.

The Danish Civil Protection Association believes that a well-educated volunteer

resource is a natural part of both the national and municipal rescue preparedness.

In face of an unexpected disaster the professional rescue units are not always

sufficient, either due to the amount of helpers needed at once or the timely extent of

the rescue activities. The volunteers are thus an indispensable supplement.

The Danish Civil Protection League is a nationwide organization with 7,500

members, predominantly active volunteers in local firefighting and rescue teams.
