Since launching THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine in 1970, we have been proudly instrumental in connecting thousands of employers to hundreds of thousands of African-American college students seeking entry-level job opportunities. Along the way, we have helped air the vital educational and social issues of our day, supported the careers of African-American leaders and thinkers and public figures of all stripes, and forged strong relationships with HBCUs and non-HBCU institutions across the nation. Distributed through the Career Services office on over 800 campuses, on a control-request basis (free), it was ranked as the number one magazine serving college students in the job market.Over the years we published several magazines under contract for African-American organizations such as NSBE Journal for the National Society of Black Engineers, Journal of the National Association, MBA Magazine for the National Black MBA Association, and NBLSA Journal, for the National Black Law Students Association. In 1995 we put THE BLACK COLLEGIAN on the Internet, the first African-American magazine on the Internet. In 1997 we launched Minorities Job Bank, targeted to job seekers with previous work experience and all underrepresented minorities. The name was later changed to IMDiversity.com, and it features, the African-American Village, the Asian-American Village, the Hispanic-American Village , the Native-American Village, the Women Village and the Minorities Global Village. In our 40th Anniversary Publishing Year, 2010, we began transforming – expanding, evolving – into Diversity Employers Magazine to broaden our scope and reach. With this transition, THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine cease to exist in paper form, while its spirit, founding commitment and some valuable features are incorporated into Diversity Employers Magazine. However THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine continues to be published online.
