The BPM Counter is an app used to calculate beats per minute. It supports dual mode BPM calculation via tapping as well as auto-detection using the phone's microphone.

Tap Mode:

To calculate BPM via tapping, just touch the tap area at the bottom of the screen along with the song. The detected BPM will get displayed on the right. To calculate a new BPM value, just wait three seconds, and the old tap information will clear out.

Auto-Detect Mode:

You can also detect the BPM by having the app listen to the song through the microphone. To start auto-detection, tap the “detect bands” button under the bottom right of the “Detected BPM” section. This will analyze the sound and try to find the band the beat is on. Once the band is detected, it will show up dark blue in the equalizer.

If you look at the equalizer and feel like the detected band is incorrect, you can set it manually. To set the beat band manually, just tap the equalizer to go into band selection mode. A white bar will show up which you can drag to the band you want to use.
