In May 2013 we had our first child. A Baby Boy!

A lot of people had given us advice on techniques to settle an agitated baby such as starting up the vacuum cleaner, boiling the kettle or playing lullaby's on loop. After just a couple of days we found that all of these techniques were great and worked surprisingly well. However starting up the vacuum cleaner at 3am in the morning isn’t the most convenient thing!

The search for an Audio app then started and we revealed some good ones. However each app had different features that were useful and none seemed to be a complete package, some were awkward to use and not user friendly.

My aim was then to create an app that had all the useful features, was reliable, easy and quick to use with nice big buttons with minimal key presses required. The last thing that you want when you have an unsettled baby in one arm is to be playing with a phone or tablet in the other!!!

So here we have it, ‘Calm Baby’. Available in both Demo and Premium versions so that you can try before you buy.

Ability to use phone for other purposes while audio still plays - Just press 'Home' button while desired audio configuration is playing

Playback duration settings ranging from 5 minutes through to an hour or even endless if you wish

Recording Mode - Allows you to record and save up to 100 of your own clips for playback

Tips:

Plug your phone or tablet in to a charger before starting where possible

Pre-record a number of sounds ready for when you need them. For example, car engine, clothes dryer, Daddy's voice etc

Add to your home screen for quick and easy access

Generally Baby's enter 'deep sleep' at around 15-20 minutes. 30 minutes is a good duration to use
