Get the latest news posted to the Belmont at Ryals Chase yahoo group.

This is a small app that does two things:

Main feature: Alerts you to the latest news - such as the monthly meeting - displayed in a notification after being posted to the group.

Secondary: You can manually see and/or read the last 10 posts that have been posted.

Use of this app does NOT require you to be a member of the Yahoo group to receive notifications.

An internet connection is required during use of this app.

App checks the Belmont yahoo group once per day for news (default setting) thus battery and data/wifi usage is low. Manual checking will require more bandwidth.

Explanation of all app permissions:

(ALL permissions in use by this app are not special and may not be confirmed during install. They are listed here for your knowledge.)

- Full network access: Used ONLY to retrieve the information from the yahoo group website.

- Run at startup: This allows the app to continue giving you notifications without having to manually open the app when the device has been powered down or rebooted. Can be turned off by disabling notifications in settings.

- Control vibration: Vibrates the phone when a notification is given. Vibration can be disabled in settings.

- Notification listener service: Allows use of notifications. Notifications can be disabled in settings.

- Network state: Allows the app to ask the device if internet is available and if its available via wifi, data, or both. In settings you can toggle between wifi only, data only, or both.
