The Summer 2014 version of Best Rides is Here. New Features are a GPS Logger and GPS Location on the map.

Best Rides KML Reader is a GPS logger that draws your route as you move on the map. Best Rides continues recording in the background so you can use other apps while Best Rides is recording the GPS. You don't need internet when Best Rides is recording your route in the background so Best Rides can be used in very unusual places where there is no internet. Advanced accuracy algorithm that filters the GPS for the most accurate recordings. Distance is automatically included in the description of the saved route but you can change the description and change the name when saving.

Best Rides can move the map with the GPS when you just want an uncluttered view of your position on the map. Your speed on the map in MPH or KPH when you are following your position with the GPS. You can turn the speed display off in the settings.

Best Rides is built on top of a very fast high quality single pass multi threaded kml map rendering engine. With it you quickly display, preview and share kml maps created by Best Rides or other apps. Best Rides can even work off line in a limited way because all of the map tiles are cached on SD card.

Everything in Best Rides is configurable in settings. The map type can be changed from Road to Satellite or Terrain. The Route Recorder GPS is configurable for distance and time between reads and includes three easy to use presets. The following GPS is configurable for distance and time. Turn auto follow and auto record on/off for the route recorder. Set if you want the route cleared when you save it. Set the tabs you want to use. Show the sample maps. Set if the special maps of Route Recorder and Follow My location are on their own tabs. North up or heading up when following the GPS.
