This is a beta test for existing users only. Please email info@myav.co.uk with feedback and if you are submitting a crash report, please tell us what you were doing at the time and the make/model of the device you were controlling.

IMPORTANT: Support for Android wear is not in this Beta test, but will be back in the full version once published.

Please make sure that you close the normal Pro version of MyAV before starting this version.

New features in this beta test include a new manual IP add routine, new settings menu and most importantly room profiles.

You can have up to 9 room profiles so that you can control equipment in different rooms and multiple devices of the same type in the same room profile.

In addition to this you can also use Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) Beacons to work out which room you are in. This option is not enabled by default as we have experienced issues with the Bluetooth interfering with device discovery. We recommend using mains powered or USB powered beacons as we've found that battery powered ones can be more erratic. USB beacons can be sourced online for as little as $12 inc shipping from China.

As part of the development for the room profiles we've also made an improvement that should mean that after devices have been initially discovery they should be found quicker in subsequent start-ups.

Known issues:

When multiple devices are found of the same type (say two TVs) the pop-up selection menu may flicker on and off rapidly, clicking outside of the menu should stop this. (This will be fixed before the full release).

All power on, turns on all equipment in all profiles (this will change to just the current profile).

Keene Kira IR blaster currently works across all profiles. (this will change in the future, so that they are assigned to each profile or even device)
