Bezan DAF is a multimedia learning aid for those interested in learning to play DAF (Middle Eastern Frame-Drum). With the current version of the app we have provided 45 tutorial lessons . These lessons are designed for complete beginners up to the intermediate level. In each tutorial, the lesson’s musical scrore is displayed and the app walks you through playing it by highlighting each note. This is visually enhanced by animations of the corresponding beat position on the DAF surface. Through the app's audio set up, you can further enhance your tutorial session by choosing to hear the beats for Metronome or the actual DAF played. You can also set different tempos/speeds for a given lesson to play at, turn the animations on/off, or set the lesson to be repeated continually, etc. Further information and learning materials are provided in the app companion web site.
