This interactive app allows you to read along with The Big D Reads, a community service project designed to immerse Dallas in a shared reading experience, with a specific focus on ninth and tenth-grade Dallas ISD students.

The book selected for 2014 is S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders, which depicts a group of youthful greasers living in oklahoma, and about their struggles to exist in a society that seems designed to dismiss them. The Big D Reads app encourages and facilitates the entire city to read—and talk about—this book and these ideas in personally and socially relevant ways.

The Big D Reads app also allows the user to:
