1)You have just calculated the concentration of cells of a diluted biological sample. You want to know the cell concentration of the original sample without dilution.

E.g. “ I have 1.5 x 10 ^6 cells / ml. I previously diluted the original sample 1 : 50, what was the original concentration”

2) You want to know how much sample of a known concentration and buffer you need to mix to obtain a target concentration.

E.g. “I have 1.5 x 10^6 cell / ml, I want to obtain 35 ml of sample with 3.5 x 10^5 cells / ml. How much original sample and how much buffer do I need to mix to obtain it?”
