The Conference will focus on the horizon to identify and discuss those issues which will likely impact breast screening operations into the future. The conference committee is keen to ensure opportunity for interaction through a forum style so that discussion of the key conference themes is guaranteed in the conference workshops..

With the overarching theme of ‘treading lightly’ to ensure maximum benefit for women who regularly screen with Breast Screen programs throughout Australia, a number of streams will run throughout the Conference.

The themes are: new and emerging practices across screening and assessment; a specific focus on genetic testing possibilities; influencing women’s decision to screen that first time and then again and again; the health and economics perspective on public health screening programs; and how to incorporate emerging advice and best practice for high risk women.
