California Newspaper Publishers AssociationThe California Newspaper Publishers Association (CNPA) is a nonprofit trade association representing the daily and weekly newspapers of California. All Association members receive CNPA's traditional member services through a contract with CSI, and CNPA is provided with the mechanism to reap the maximum benefit of its entrepreneurial efforts by eliminating the tax on "unrelated business income," which occurs when profit is generated in a nonprofit corporation.Cal Press FoundationThe Cal Press Foundation is a nonprofit corporation organized in October 1993 to raise funds through tax deductible contributions for internships and other journalism education activities. The formation of the Foundation enhances CNPA's ability to raise funds for journalism education because of tax-deductible donations.
