This application is in testing for the Colorado Summits Safety Team.
We welcome any comments and suggestions, but please don't use this app for mission-critical tasks! It's purpose is to provide a convenient way to communicate quick text messages to a project team, whose numbers are entered under "Settings".
The "Panic" button allows a user to send a message to the team that includes the user's geographic location, approximate address, and estimated positional accuracy. The estimated accuracy is shown on the screen before the text can be sent. This estimate only updates itself when wifi is turned on. This is being worked on.
The "Text Circle of 5" button will show a text box so that any message can be sent to the same project team.
The "Submit S.O.R." button will show fields for a "Safety Observation Report". The "Take a Picture" button will allow the user to take a picture with the camera and then draw notes on it. When the "Submit S.O.R." button is pressed, the information from the fields is compiled into an email using the default email client. The "To" field is automatically filled out with the address entered in the last line of the "Settings" screen. Note that the app cannot attach the S.O.R. image automatically. When the app opens the email view, the user will need to attach the file (called SORImage.png) to the email. The image will be under the main directory of the phone. It is saved with the markups when the "Submit S.O.R." button is pressed. At this time, the remaining buttons are only links to a websites. One button will submit an S.P.A. (Safe Plan of Action) and the other will direct the user to a list of resources for alternatives to driving in the Denver, Colorado area. These buttons will be upgraded as time allows.
