Capture Live allows for users to stream live video directly from their iOS device to a web-based Enterprise class application that is used by the News and Media to report live events.This application requires an account from Capture.com to be used.Who is the target audience?Because Capture Live is designed for news and companies to get live stream footage from people with smartphones, there are two groups of people who will want to download and use the app:1) Professional journalists, correspondents and staff photographers employed by the news and media companies that are clients of Capture2) Everyday people “in the area” of a news event who receive live stream requests from any of the news and media companies that are clients of Capture (e.g. BuzzFeed, Washington Post, The Weather Channel, etc.)Is this an existing service? If yes, where is it available?No. This is a brand new service.Is the app an indispensable part of the service or can the service work without the app?The app is an indispensable part of the service. It is the sole means through which Capture Live news and media clients are able to get live footage directly from smartphone users around the world.How does the user/company pay? Is it subscription-based or one time fee? What is the cost, what does it pay for, and what are the payment options (ex. credit card, PayPal, bank transfer, carrier billing, etc.)?There is currently no payment method associated with Capture Live. This is currently a free service.Does the user/company pay per device or user?Payment is not supported by Capture Live. Users are incentivized by a desire to have their content featured by major news and media brands (re: BuzzFeed, Washington Post, The Weather Channel, etc.)Is there additional charge (other than the price of the app) for mobile access?No. The app is free to download. The only charge is any cost of cellular data incurred during use, on the part of the smartphone user.Is there a paid upgrade option outside of the app?No.- How is persistent background location being used in the app?Capture Live monitors only the user’s significant location changes in order to discover the nearest breaking news events within their region.Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
