It seems that, recently, everyone from mystics and scientists to economists and the devoutly religious have predicted a wide variety of ways for the world to “end.” We wanted to prepare ourselves for the worst by asking a knowledgeable community of users what we should include in our survival kits. In this app, we publish our survival kits made from what’s most popular, and we make it easy for our users to create their own kits based on that. Additionally, we aggregate relevant articles from several possible catastrophe-scenarios, to make it easier for our users to conduct their own research.

With our app, users can also:

- Create multiple survival kits tailored to any one of the tracked scenarios

- Choose which survival kit items are public and which are private. Private items only exist on the mobile device in which they were created.

- Associate relevant web content such as articles, instructions, reviews with items in the survival kits

- Track which items are on hand and which items still need to be purchased

- Learn a lot about many survival kit items, including:

o Approximate cost

o What’s consumable and what’s not

o What expires quickly and what does not

o What has important secondary uses (and what these are)

But we are cautiously optimistic, and we expect there will be a little time before our kits are needed. Consequently, our users can also create private bucket-lists with activities they want to accomplish before the end comes. One of our activities is to someday go skydiving naked. :-)
