A test bed for the Kelendria SVG transcoder ( https://code.google.com/p/kelendria/ ), the Chelseas SVG viewer and editor gives users the capability to import SVG documents stored on their Android sd card into the application. The application uses the Kelendria transcoder (which is currently in its alpha phase of development) to create bitmaps from the SVG documents for display to the user.

The user can also edit SVG documents on the fly and see the changes immediately in the Chelseas viewer.

This application is intended to evolve along with the Kelendria SVG engine to provide a proof of concepts user-interface to the bespoke SVG specification implementation.

Note to users:

The Kelendria SVG engine is a new development project and currently supports about 50% of the features in the SVG specification ( http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG/ ). The following features are supported in this very early alpha release of the software.

* SVG Viewport

* Lines, Rectangles, Circles and Ellipses

* Polygons and Polylines

* Inline Styles

* Grouping and Referencing Objects

* The translate Transformation

* The scale Transformation

* Quadratic Bézier Curves

* Cubic Bézier Curves

* Text

The following features are not currently supported. These will be added in subsequent versions.

* The rotate, skewX, skewY and matrix transformations

* Embedded Images (raster graphics)

* CSS Stylesheets

* Patterns and Gradients

* Clipping and Masking

* Filters

* Animations and Interactivity

The Kelendria SVG transcoder is open source software but it is not free software. Contact the developer for a license and the source code.
