Improve your chess skills by solving classic 'mate in x moves' problems.

All good chess players regularly practice this type of chess problems. It allows them to train their eyes and brain to quickly detect a potential mate. With Chess Problems for Windows Phone, you can train even more often: in the bus, during a break, in a waiting room. As soon as you have a few minutes to spare, you can play and practice.

This application offers 30 positions to solve! Some are relatively easy and some are quite complex.

NOTE: This free application displays ads. If you don't want the Ads or have limited data plan, please consider buying the paid version.

Some of the features:

- 30 problems to solve. Want more? Get the paid version and get 200 problems to solve!

- Hint button. When you press it for the first time, the application will just highlight the suggested piece to move. If you press it again, it will show you the full move (target position)

- Check your progress on the 'Problems' page (green = solved, orange = mate but too many moves, red = failed to solve or stalemate). You can easily come back to a problem that was difficult to solve.

- Optional highlighting of valid moves

- You can play both white and black. This option allows you to check what happens with a move different from what the computer has chosen.

- You can undo all moves up to start.

- Fixes various crashes.

Version 1.1:

- Undo will now undo only the last move, not the last ply

- When you undo a black move, you now have to select the black move yourself. This feature is particularly handy when you want to check how you solution would work with a different black move. You don't need anymore to go to settings and change to 'I play black'.

- Hint is disabled when the target move count has been reached.
