I am an aspiring seventeen-year-old programmer with a very simple first application that I hope someone finds useful.

This application keeps arbitrary score during a chess game by assigning the values of 1 for a pawn, 3 for a knight or bishop, 5 for a rook, and 9 for a queen.

For instance were one of your white rooks (castles) to be taken, then you would press the button labeled "- White Rook" and the score displayed at the top would update to show that you lost the piece.

This application saves all scores in real time so that even if the application were to be closed without warning your scores would not be lost.

While to be honest, I will probably not use this application much myself (ultimately the number of pieces taken in a chess game is irrelevant), I would be thrilled to add any enjoyment to your chess game.
