Didier Jouvenet comes to Chez Catherine from having spent 32 years with the finest New York City restaurants including 20 years at La Grenouille and 8 years at The Carlyle Hotel. Born and raised in Lyon, France in a family of restaurateurs understandably was attracted to the kitchen early in life. He graduated from the Ecole Hôtelière in Grenoble, a culinary and management school and gained excellent experience at sea as the youngest Maître d'Hôtel on a French cruise line Mr. Jouvenet also served in this position with the French Navy.

His wife Edith was born in Marseilles. She will welcome you and is also in charge of the provençal decoration. Alexander Gomes is the chef de Cuisine, 32 years old, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.
