Color Sampler lets you use your phone's camera to deduce the color of everyday objects. Just point the camera at the item (placing the region of interest in the center of the view) and take the picture. The app will give you a small thumbnail with the isolated color and the name of the nearest matching color (along with the hexidecimal color-code).

The app works by isolating the most prominent color found in the image giving more weight to the centre of the image. The accuracy of this sampling is never better than the quality of the image taken so it is important to have adequate lighting.
