The application is simple but useful. You guide a circular control in the center of the screen to choose a color theory concept (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Analogous, Complementary, Split Complementary, Triad, Warm, and Cool). Upon selection, an animation in the center of the screen will demonstrate the concept and allow you to interactively reevaluate the concept using a specific "core" color for the non-static concepts. At the bottom of the screen is an info button to give information about the currently selected concept.
