The new release of the B Squared Connecting Steps for iPad gives teachers the ability to access and enter their assessment data quickly and efficiently in the classroom, on the go or at home. The app is designed for recording and demonstrating pupils’ attainment and progress. All information is stored securely in the cloud and no data is stored on the iPad itself. B Squared Connecting Steps is a leading assessment tool for showing small amounts of progress for students on the P Levels, the new National Curriculum 2014, EYFS and Adult Curriculum meaning a pupil can be tracked accurately from birth to adulthood. Though mainly used for tracking students with special educational needs (PMLD, SLD, Autism etc.), our new year-based breakdown is now more suitable than ever for a mainstream application, helping schools transition away from outdated forms of assessment for tracking achievement such as APP and APS. Our main software enables teachers and senior leadership teams to compare the development of groups of children (Pupil Premium, Free School Meals, English as an Additional Language, SEN, SEN Type, Gifted and Talented or any custom group that you want) in the core and foundation subjects. You can make comparisons between groups within the class; against age related expectations (ARE); and with learning milestones making it an excellent tool for not only assessment but planning, report writing and target setting as well as identifying where gaps need filling and intervention groups need to be put in place.
