Once a great and powerful king ruled the seven realms. Humanity remained strong against the threats to their power, all owing to an ancient relic that protected the kingdom's boarders from the threats beyond. The mighty king ruled over his vast landholdings with a just hand, that was lent to his love for the people. The king was hardly a sentimental old fool, but he was venerated for his fair law. In a land where everyone is born with a birthright that foretells their role in the kingdom, the king is branded with the honorable title of hero. As the years progress, the king is married and a heir is produced. The king celebrates his queen's growing belly, certain that a son will be born, an even greater leader than he. When his son is born, the king is summoned to the nursery where a frightened nursemaid informed him that his son was marked with the sign of the demons- an ancient prophesy about the fall of the realms. The king demands the nursemaid's discretion as he considers his next move, for everyone knows... under the protection of the relic, no one can be felled by anything other than time itself. With the power of the relic enshrouding the kingdom, no outside interference, the realm doesn't stand a chance. The only hope that that the menace of his offspring could be overcome and the kingdom saved, would be to destroy the very thing that protected the realm. He could not trap his people in a world where the devil himself was given complete authority. With this heavy weight pressing down upon him, the king set out to do the only thing he could do. Of course, such a feat would prove daunting, for the relic was protected by the spirits of the ancestors, and they would not give easily into his plan of action...
