In 1997 I came up with the idea to start the day with a wisdom to my colleagues. Every working day I would think of a fortune cookie. This lasted until June 2001 and I had quite an extensive library with words of wisdom. All original thoughts, no plagiarism. Unfortunately this original set of cookies was lost.

In 2012 I picked up the habit and started to send out Cookies again, via FaceBook and Twitter. Eventually culminating in this app. Here you can get your little wisdom whenever you want.

Previously there was the app CookieJar, that was updated on a regular basis, once every two weeks or so. These updates fixed bugs, added features but most of all, they contained new cookies.

All in all there is now a library of over 400 unique cookies, all created by me. And with this new version, new cookies become available instantly.

Whenever you open the app, it goes online and retrieves the latest cookies available. This means that you can get the cookies as they are coming online instead of having to wait for an update of the app.

On top of that, when you register online, your ratings for cookies are stored online as well and you can access these cookies from other devices as well, As long as you register using the same information.

The only information stored are your username, first and last name as well as your birthday and your email address. Be aware that your email address is stored encrypted as well. And I will only use it to ensure that your account is unique to you.

I will not use your information for anything else than ensuring that your ratings of cookies stay your ratings and don't get mixed up with others.

I will also, with your consent, track which screens of the app you access the most, so I can improve your experience of the app.

The new features since the last update are:

Cookies are now retrieved from the Cloud, and almost every day a new cookie is made available. This version will always retrieve the most recent Cookie and show it to you.

In case you registered yourself online, the app will download the latest Cookie and we add 10 additional Cookies to that list.

In case you help improve CookieJar Online by sending usage information, ie statistical information on which screens you open and how often, we will add an additional 10 Cookies to be downloaded.
