CoreMites
is an artistic interactive and generative computer program inspired and based upon swarming behavior, swarming intelligence, rules and patterns found in nature.
The program uses an innovative combination of Boids and a Marching Cubes algorithm within an Octree.
Artistic Intention
The artwork aims to reflect upon the 'darker' or 'shadow' side of swarming
e.g. marching armies, spreading cancer cells, et al.
Hence, we artistically interpret and explore swarming as a dichotomy of
juxtaposed poetic expressions hovering in a swarm of ambiguity.
