The app will help you navigate the walkway and provide you with information, stories, images and video to enhance your experience. The App also covers the popular tourist attraction Huka Falls providing interesting facts, information, imagery and video of Huka Falls and the mighty Waikato River. The app also provides information about the local Taupo region including the Wairakei Tourist Park including accommodation and activities.Proceeds collected from the small admission fee to the Craters of the Moon thermal park and walk and donations collected at the Huka Falls kiosk are donated back into the local Taupo community via grants to local charities. The Trust aslo administers scholarships made available to students living in the Lake Taupo catchment area to study conservation or tourism. The Trust works with the Department of Conservation running the kiosk at Huka Falls.
