Cruising Kitty makes it easy to manage the expenses of a sailing trip with the smart phone. The treasurer will not miss the complicated post calculation on the end to split the costs.

The app is working like a traditional kitty. You establish a boat kitty fund. The Crew pays deposits to the kitty (one time or repeated). The common expenses will be debited from the kitty. During the clearing Crusing Kitty shows a credit balance or overdraft for every Crew Member.

[unlimited version]

This test version is limited to 15 entries (bookings). If you like the app and want to use it you can unlock the test version.

In Settings please select „buy unlimited version“... You will be connected to Google Play Store and you can unlock the version.

[fundamental user guide]

After installation please select under „Settings“ the basic Currency for new generated trips (default EURO). If you generate a new trip, the basic currency of that trip will be set to this value. All entries will be converted to the basic currency of the trip.

To generate a new trip:

1) Choose „new trip“ from main menu.

2) Enter name, begin date and end date.

3) Press OK to save the trip. After that you can enter new Crew Members.

4) Choose the new trip in the main screen (click the current trip and a table with available trips will be opened).

5) Choose „edit trip“ from main menu.

6) Choose „new Member“ from the menu of the next screen.

7) Enter name in the dialog box and choose the share of the expenses of the Crew Member (default 100%). Enter email adress where the trip report will be send.

8) If one member exists in the trip view, you can enter new members or delete members when you long click on existing members.

Enter bookings:

At the bottom of the main view are the buttons for different kind of entries:

1) Payments can be entered in every available currency

2) Desposit of Crew Members in different currencies. The exchange rate is editable after the fact. (i.e. from the account statement after an ATM transaction)

3) Money exchange from trip basic currency to local currency.

To view or edit entries:

Click at the large button “entries”. A list opens with all the entries of the current trip ordered by date and time. If you select an entry you will change to the edit view of the selected entry. If you long click an entry in the list, you will get a context menu with different usable filter views of the list.
