DC Locator is a smartphone social app & messenger available for all members of the Dynamite Circle community with iPhones running iOS 7+. DC Locator uses your 3G or WiFi (when available) and GPS to send group messages to other DC members nearby. The app detects a user’s location and dynamically updates local DCers via messaging and a real-time interactive map.

Search features allow users to access other DC members by name, expertise, country, and state. App users can send private messages to any DCer worldwide, or send group messages to all DCers in their designated area.

WHY USE DC LOCATOR:

*********************************

* NO HIDDEN COST OR INTERNATIONAL CHARGES: All DC Members are able to download the application for free, and login using the same login credentials as they would use to access the Dynamite Circle forum. Similar to other internet-based messaging apps on the market, there is no cost to send DC Locator messages internationally. Send unlimited messages to any DCer for free using your Internet connection: 3G/EDGE or Wi-Fi when available.

* LOCATION-BASED GROUP CHAT: Members can participate in group conversations with other DCers in their designated area - group chats can include members within a 5km to 50km radius.

* PERSONAL: Users can update their user profile within the app by changing the information shown in their Dynamite Circle forum profile [in Ning]. Users should allow 24 hours for updates to reflect within the app.

* PRIVACY: DC Locator users who wish to refrain from sharing their current location can opt for “Incognito Mode.” When users arrive in a new location, the app will prompt them to update their location and specify whether to broadcast the location to nearby DCers on the dynamic map, or to remain incognito.

* TRAVEL RELEVANT FEATURES: For users who are constantly on-the-move, the DC Locator app accommodates this. By giving members the option to specify if a new location is temporary or their permanent home base, users can inform other members nearby if they’re just visiting or plan to be around for an extended time.

* AVOID YET ANOTHER USERNAME & PASSWORD: No need to remember yet another PIN or username! DC Locator works with your DC Login credentials, and gives you access to every DC member available in the DC Member Directory.

* NO NEED TO ADD CONTACTS: The DC Locator app gives users access to all members within the DC Member directory. Search for users’ profiles within the app, and easily send private messages back and forth, without the need for a contact phone number.

* OFFLINE MESSAGES: Even if you miss your push notifications or turn off your iPhone, DC Locator will save your messages offline until you retrieve them during the next application use. Let’s face it, DCers are often on the move! No reason to miss messages from other members because you’re mid-flight.
