Good afternoon, dear Android users.

This is a DFM - Desktop сomputer like File Manager for Android.

As you may probably guessed from its name,

DFM allows you work with you device in the same natural way as

you work on normal Desktop Computer under Linux or Windows.

It has 2 main panels: left with Tree view and

right with 4 different views: table, list, thumbnails and icons

which let you easily navigate through file system of your device.

DFM has been tested on 2 devices:

1: tablet - TELEFUNKEN TF-MID9707G

2: smartphone - Prestigio PAP5400 DUO

In order to let you get acquainted with its UI we enclosed

20 screenshots of DFM running on my development device which is

a tablet Telefunken TF-MID9707G.

All screenshots have been made in landscape format which is

a natural one for DFM (screenshots in portrait format do not capture

much information about app),

so we would recommend first download all attached app screens,

and take a look in order to see whole picture.

The UI of the DFM is, in some sense, a dynamic one. It let you at runtime

adjust width of main panels, resize tree view and table row heights,

resize toolbars height and change its current palette

(several palettes are available, so you can

choose the one which most productive for you).

Please, notice that this build of DFM is for ARMv7 processors,

In conclusion, we would like briefly discuss a procedure for copy files from USB disk.

It is easy to copy files from small USB disk in Android,

but when you attach 1 TB USB disk filled with movie file,

you would better follow next procedure:

(next steps are needed only if you are not root, like me, on your device,

if you are root, you can use command line tool adb to stop/start Media Storage)

1: close DFM

2: attach USB disk

3: open Settings ->Applications->All and navigate to Media Storage and stop it

4: open DFM and copy files from USB disk

Also notice that depending on the size of copied files you will have to

stop Media Storage several times, because of it will restart again

during copy process.
