This App displays on a map Amateur Radio contacts made within the last hour on the 2m band (144 MHz - 146 MHz) in Europe.

Es contacts via the sporadic E layer of the ionosphere are shown in red.

Sporadic E propagation on the 2m band is very rare and happens mostly during summer and at daylight time.

The development of this application is described in detail in the August 2012 issue of the German FUNKAMATEUR magazine.
