Daily Haiku pays tribute to three of the great Japanese Haiku masters. If you are not familiar with Haiku poetry, it's an unrhymed Japanese poem generally written in three lines of five, seven, and five syllables. Haiku's generally have to do with with a subject that links nature to human nature. Translated Japanese Haiku's lose their original syllable count while maintaining the three line style. I have selected 75 of my favorite Haiku poems for you from Basho (1644-1694), Buson (1716-1784) and Issa (1763-1827). I hope you enjoy their beautiful poetry as much as I do.
