'Degas and the Ballet: Picturing Movement' This app has been produced to coincide with the landmark exhibition ‘Degas and the Ballet: Picturing Movement’ at the Royal Academy of Arts. Based on the exhibition’s audio guide with added visual content, it focuses on Edgar Degas’s preoccupation with movement as an artist of the dance. Produced by Antenna International and the Royal Academy of Arts, this app traces the development of the artist's ballet imagery throughout his career, from the documentary mode of the early 1870s to the sensuous expressiveness of his final years.
