This tool illustrates the influence of the intersite distance (ISD), the electrical downtilt of the transmitting antenna and the transmit power distributed among a bandwidth of 180 kHz (one resource block) on the signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR). The dashed white lines mark the cell borders. For every cell one base station is placed. The black areas are no go areas around a base station for mobile terminals. The scale for map is constant for all settings.The colorbar below the plot describes the corresponding color codes for the SINR values. Blue color codes represent bad SINR values whereas red color codes represent good SINR values.Summed up, a greater ISD or a greater tilt angle contribute to the performance of the SINR. Too high tilt angles may also lead to worse distributions of the SINR values depending on the ISD.
