To use this AddOn, install and run DiffTool version 1.44 or later.

Without DiffDroid (this AddOn), DiffTool is already able to compare the following text and source code file formats: ASC-II, Latin-1, CP1252, UTF-8, UTF-16BE, UTF-16LE, UTF-32BE and UTF-32LE (all these text formats can have Unix, Windows or MAC line endings).

DiffDroid (this AddOn) additionally enables DiffTool to unzip archives:

• to compare files included in your APK files

• to compare the XML files of your APK

(so you can for example display and compare single files of your APK like the manifest.xml)

• the support of ZIP archives is still under construction

After having this AddOn installed, simply start DiffTool, select compare folders and click on an APK folder for comparison (starting this AddOn directly - instead of using DiffTool - will not work).

(by simply using the Java ® class * ZipInputStream some ZIP file versions are supported too but unfortunately not all)
