This is the official Elgin July 4 App, which lists Parade participants, pictures, contact info, and extensive descriptions.

Your modern Android phone uses iBeacons to show notifications as floats pass by, so you don't have to hunt, scroll or type in to search. BlueTooth Low Energy (btle) saves your battery while showing who is coming up.

A map shows where the parade begins and ends, along with location for fireworks.

You can add directly to your calendar from interesting events in app.

Events are added to your phone only if you click the button, there is no automated addition of events. This app works offline.
