EmPOWERed Kids teaches children about energy safety! Consumers Energy presents a brand new, educational application to help children learn how to be safe around household electric and natural gas devices with interactive presentations and games.

Teachers & Parents – This child friendly app supports the Common Core State Standards for your classroom and can be used as a tool to supplement teaching. The app provides an engaging experience in an interactive and fun environment for students in grades K-2 and 3-6. It can be used in collaboration with our online teacher’s guide, which explores and reinforces key concepts about:

- Electric Generation (sources of how electricity is made)

- Transmission (electricity & natural gas)

- Dangers of Electricity

- Energy Safety (electricity & natural gas)

- Things to know about Natural Gas
