January 2014: The big problem in heavy and/or construction equipment industry in Indonesia this year is the slowdown of mining industry, especially coal mining. Lately the demand for mining equipments decrease dramatically. This is big problem for dealer of mining equipments and also financing industry. There is uncertainty when this crisis come to an end. But there is good news in construction (infrastructure), agriculture and forestry sectors because they are growing slowly. Many dealers change their business focus from mining equipment to small equipment like mini excavator.

DECEMBER 2013: PT TRAKINDO UTAMA, the sole distributor for Caterpillar's products in Indonesia, introduced complete fleet for agro sector. Launched in Pekanbaru, Riau on November, Trakindo targeted forestry and palm plantation industries. In mining segment, Robert Stein from Caterpillar Global Mining presented the highwall mining technology for coal in Indonesia. Starting this issue, we advertise used equipments. You could find quality used equipment in this publication every month.
