Edit HTML, CSS, PHP and other text files using your iPad. Files stored on an FTP server (like most web servers) can be opened directly, edited and re-saved back to the FTP server from your iPad. Uses of FTPedit Free will include editing HTML, CSS and PHP files, updating .htaccess files and making small changes to any other text-based information contained within an FTP Server. Leaving the app will keep the file open ready for you to finish editing next time, there is a handy custom keyboard included to allow you to access frequently required keystrokes readily from the editing interface. The app also supports syntax highlighting for common file types. When using the app on your iPhone if you want to cancel the edit of a file you must do so from the main screen using the 'edit' functionality.This Free version of the app removes some features found in the paid for version including the ability to open more than one file; the iPad editing is forced to full screen; adverts are included and you cannot make new files or directories.
