In Five in Line (a version of tic-tac-toe, five in row), two players take turn and place discs on a 9x9 grid. Each player is assigned a color, either red or yellow. The goal is to be the first to get five discs in a line. In Five in Line, discs are played by being dropped into one of the columns on the grid after which they fall to the bottommost unoccupied position in that column.
Five in Line can be played against a number of different computer controlled opponents of varying expertise. From the beginning it is only possible to play against the first opponent. More opponents are unlocked by winning multiple games in a row against the most recently unlocked opponent. The game offers opponents of increasing difficulty. Five in Line can also be played between two human players on the same device.
